Songwriters need songwriter friends and I was lucky enough to have had a fantastic friend in Dave McArtney. He wrote a song called "The Leather Tongue Motel" and I was inspired by his title to write my own version, here it is.

You wake up in a fever your boots still on your feet
As naked as a napkin your clothes dropped in a heap
With the curtains pulled, there’s no need to think, you can pour yourself a drink
Leaning on the mirror above the bathroom sink

A waitress on a bender has crashed out in a chair
She’s sleeping off the party a blonde mess of hair
With her mountain eyes, she reminded you, of a river running true
Fresher than a flower shining in the morning dew

How does it feel?

The concert is a screamer the crowd yells out for more
